Yesterday was my forty-ninth birthday and it snuck up on me. I'm happy to know the month and the day of the week. I know to pay the mortgage around the fifteenth and I used to make the car payment at the end of the month. The car is paid off so that's why I stopped making payments. I know the date when I have to pay bills but that's all.
Numerology is something that I like to kid around about so I was trying to think of some significance to a 49th birthday. The best that I could come up with was the old fictional idea of the seventh son of a seventh son. Then again, all numerology is fiction anyway. I liked it better when my life long hero, Joe Biden, became the 46th President of the United States while I was 46 years old. I don't believe that was more than a coincidence any more than I believe that the British knew that they were surrendering on my birthday when they surrendered at Yorktown to end the last major battle of the American Revolution. It is pure coincidence.
Vacation is over so now I need to dive into health improvement starting with my kidneys. I don't want to bother because none of that is bothering me right now. Honestly, I'd like to plan our next vacation. Going back to Ocean City in the same room would be nice. We could go off season in four months and get the same room. Repeating a vacation is nice but it might be merely nice.
The Doubletree Hilton was beautiful and spotless. Our room had an amazing view looking out over the ocean waves. I'd say that we were on the ideal floor for looking out over the balcony. Unfortunately, I couldn't take advantage of all the things that were in "walking distance." In fact, the hotel manager should be glad that I wasn't in one of my infamous moods when he mentioned walking distance for about the fifth time while I was sitting in a wheelchair right there in front of him.
I'd like to try the Doubletree's breakfast package largely because I'm up early especially when I'm not home. It sounds dumb but I want to be able to drink juice mixed with club soda to make cranberry soda. Maybe it had to have another juice mixed in or it had to be cranberry juice cocktail but it was really good. It takes a little experimentation so I don't want to try it while I'm paying by the glass.
I suppose that could be my little confession for my birthday. I'm a heavy drinker. I down water and diet soda by the gallon. I'll drink coffee by the pot. Apparently, my love of caffeine leaves me dehydrated anyway. I need to drink more water and less soda. Obviously, I'm writing this with a large cup of store brand diet Mountain Dew by my side. If it were daytime, it would be water. It's just ironic that I am saying thia while misbehaving
